Relay 4 Life

Hey Martingrove, have you made your Relay Team yet? The Relay 4 Life committee will be collecting your registration forms starting tomorrow March 11, and continuing to March 24 in front of the gym. If you need extra forms, please pick them up in the Relay mailbox in the office.

Cricket

Cricket tryouts will take place on Friday, March 11 after school in the main gym. Students who have not submitted the forms will not be allowed to participate.

Sat Tutorials

There will be NO Saturday Tutorials the nest 3 saturdays. They will resume April 2nd.

Go online NOW to find about March Break opportunities at college and university campuses - some require advance registration.
Whether you are staying in town or travelling to another part of the province or the country, consider visiting a college or university campus with your family - seeing dorms, classrooms, labs, and libraries and talking with the student guides is the best way to find a campus right for you.

March Break workshop at UofT for young men of African heritage

Pick up a permission form in Guidance if you want to take part in workshops run by the Black Students Association at the University of Toronto next Thursday.

Everyone is invited to cafeteria TODAY at the start of lunch to tour booths with representatives from community organizations who are looking for teen volunteers. Explore new ways to get your community service hours - there are opportunities for long-term and one-day volunteering possibilities.

Guidance

The UofT is hosting a Workshop day for black, male students on Thurs March 17. If you are interested, pick up and return a form in guidance. Space is limited. Spots will be filled on a first come, first serve basis.

Library

Tim and Trevor from the Seneca College Library Tech program have been hard at work processing new books since Feb 22. Come on into the library and see if there is anything of interest for your reading pleasure and delight for the upcoming break. If we don't have a book that you'd like to read we'll do our best to pick it up before the break.
