The girls hockey team faced Humberside yesterday. After falling behind 4-0, the girls fought back with a great team effort for a 5-5  tie. Great game girls.

Girls Hockey

The girls ice hockey team defeated Mowat 7-2. Claire Thompson and rookie sensation Megan Trupp both had 3 goals each. Strong game by rookie Maddie Smart Reed who scored a great slapshot goal. Next game Wednesday against Lawrence Park.

The girls hockey team started their season with a win over Nothern Secondary, 4-0. Rookie goalie Taylor Gallow had the shut out ad rookie forward Erin Walkovich had 2 goals. Excellent team performance.

Engineering

Congratulations to our Senior Engineering design team; Philip, Areeb, Denton and Jiwan for winning the "University of Toronto High School Design Challenge"!!! They bested almost 60 other schools to take the title!!!

Semi-Formal

Hey Martingrove! The season of giving has arrived, and you know what that means: Key Club is holding their annual Candy Cane sale! This year, proceeds go towards the Kiwanis ELIMINATE project, which aims to end maternal and neonatal tetanus in dveloping countries. A contribution of just $2 is enough to vaccinate both a mother and her child! Candy canes will be sold for 50 cents each in the conference room starting on Monday, December 8th, and be delivered to your sweeties on Dec 18th. Remember bears: a candy cane for your bae = a vaccine for a baebae. :)
