To all MCI students, you are invited to hear a guest speaker from the Hospital for Sick Children on Tues. morning at 7:45 am. He is a researcher and scientist and wants to share his experiences + advice with you. All are welcome, it will be held in the library.

Day of the Dead
This past weekend, Mexicans celebrated the Day of the Dead (Spanish: Dia de Muertos). The holiday focuses on gatherings of family and friends to pray for and remember friends and family members who have died. It is mainly celebrated in Mexico where the day is a public holiday. It is celebrated October 31, November 1 and November 2 to coincide with the Roman Catholic triduum festival of Allhallotide, All Hallows`Eve, Hallowmas and All Souls Day. Traditions connected with the holiday include building private altars called ofrendas, honoring the deceased using sugar kulls, marigolds, and the favourite foods and beverages of the departed, and visiting graves with these as gifts. Visitors also leave possessions of the deceased at the graves. So... Feliz dia de muertos!
