INTRAMURALS

Intramural floor hockey continues today. The tier 2 quarterfinals begin. Team 8 plays team 12 today. Team 1 also plays.

Intramural dodgeball and intramural volleyball schedules will soon be posted. If anyone wants to play these sports, the deadline has been extended to Wednesday. Get your teams in. Check the red board.

Semi-Formal 

Hey MCI! It's that time of year again, it's the SAC's Semi-Formal! This year's theme is Valentine's Day. Tickets will be sold in the conference room at lunch from Monday to Friday of this week. Tickets are $50 for students and $60 for guests.

MMUN

New to MMUN? Not sure how it works? Well no problem! MMUN is hosting a Delegate workshop to help you learn how MMUN is run!. It will be held in room 265 on Jan 26th, 27th, and 28th at lunch. Feel free to drop by and ask some questions!

GSA

Hey Martingrove! Are you craving cupcakes, chocolate, biscotti, cookies and hot chocolate? If your answer is yes, come down to the small caf next wednesday at lunch for GSA's bake sale. We will be serving all kinds of sweets and hot chocolate as well. See you there Martingrove.

Stratford Club

The tickets for The Stratford trip to see Macbeth are going fast! There are only 15 tickets left for the trip on Friday, May 20. If you still want to go, bring your $40 deposit to Mr. Kay in Rm 173 as soon as possible.

Exercise to Success

Exercise to Success takes place after school today in the weight room. Please remember your forms if you haven't returned them already. New members are welcome.

Yearbook

Do you have a squad? Do you love your squad? Do you want to showcase your love for your squad in the MCI yearbook? Come on down to room 145 at lunch on Tuesday, January 26th and Wednesday, January 27th for a chance to be in the yearbook with your squad!!

Library Council

There will be a General Library Council meeting Thursday January 28 after school in the library. All library volunteers must attend.

United Way

Hey Bears! Hate the cold? United Way's got you! This upcoming Tuesday, January 26th come out to the main foyer for United Way's toque and mitten sale!

SUMMER JOB OPPORTUNITIES WITH THE TDSB!!!!!

Applications are available for two different summer job opportunities:

  • Focus on Youth hires students to work at community summer programs. 
  • The program runs from July 4 to August 12
  • Must be 16 years of age or older by July, 2016
  • Must enjoy working with children and have interests/talents in one of the following areas:
    • Arts
    • Leadership
    • Literacy and Numeracy
    • Sports and Recreation
  • Application deadline: March 14
The TDSB also hires students to work as summer caretakers or in warehouses. Students must be at least 16 by July 2016.
Application deadline for caretaker/warehouse jobs: January 29 - this Friday!
