Exciting field trip opportunity!

The 16th Annual University of Toronto Black Students' Association High school conference is being held on Tuesday May 5th. This year's theme is R.I.S.E.--and aims to encourage and inspire the youth of today and leaders of tomorrow to Reach, Innovate, Strive and Empower. If you are interested in attending this conference, pick up a field trip form in Guidance. Spots will be filled on a first come, first serve basis. Please see your Guidance counsellor if you have any questions.

Harlem:
What happens to a dream deferred?
Does it dry up like a raisin in the sun?
Or fester like a sore--And then run?
Does it stink like rotten meat?
Or crust and sugar over--
Like a syrupy sweet?
Maybe it just sags like a heavy load
or does it explode?

Are you the next Langston Hughes?
Martingrove students: April is Poetry Month across the continent. Consider entering the Annual Live Poet's Society Contest.
Poems are to be emailed. Please see posters for details or come to the library for more information.
